A cast in-situ polished concrete kitchen worktop installed in Walthamstow, North East London. This project was part of a side-return kitchen extension, where the long narrow run of worktop needed to be cast as a single unjointed surface something only possible with in-situ concrete.

Conscious Forms built the bespoke formwork, poured and hand-burnished the concrete on site, then ground and polished the surface to bring out its natural texture and depth. The finished worktop runs the full length of the kitchen without a single join.
