Conscious Forms was invited by The Edible Bus Stop and Davies White Landscape Architects to collaborate on the design of the hard landscaping of the path and the sculptural garden resting point furniture for the Covid19 Memorial gardens. The London Blossom Garden at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (QEOP), commissioned by the Mayor of London 2021. The QEOP resting point furniture is designed for longevity with a focus on sustainability using reclaimed hardwood timbers and recycled marble aggregates in the polished concrete sculptural details in the path and resting point furniture. The cantilevering steel uprights supports enables the design to appear to float and can also be easily recycled at the end of use. The design of the furniture also adheres to QEOP’s strict inclusivity design standards to enable access for all, with transfer space for wheelchair users and double armrest seats. The park furniture is constructed from steel, reclaimed timbers and pigmented terrazzo concrete with recycled marble aggregate. QEOP website
